An old Jodanian female farmer asks: What happened to the old durum varieties that where so good for making Frike?
-The were three wheat varieties good to make Fricke in Jordan and they disappeared - at the conference the farmers should tell us more why they were good - what was the last time they cultivated them, etc..
The Algerian farmers are asking for the drought-resistant black barley that disappeared a long time ago. The Iranian farmers have similar requests but for cereals and vegetables. At the conference we would like to discuss with them "where are the old landraces with good taste and flavour?".
