Through the consultation process the local organizers will hopefully bring feedback from the farmers into conference organizing. Possibe issues around which we can cluster stories are

- why traditional/indigenous seeds are important: suitable for the environment and soil of Garmsar, better taste
- what were some of the best traditonal varieties of Garmsar
- why these seeds were lost: the rise of materialism and money, loss of farmer independence and unity
- other major problems: privatisation of water, degrading soils, climate change, insurance, and lack of appropriate support from the government
On the last day, as a final topic:
- Would farmers like to keep in touch and collaborate with other farmers. How?
