Airport pickup
You will be picked up by an ICARDA driver from Aleppo airport on 29 April at 07:00
In the same manner you wil be drinven to the airport on 8 May 23:00
Acommodation
For now you are booked into the ICARDA Guest House from 29 April - 8 May
This is where the other conference participants are staying.
A taxi trip from there to the old own takes about 10 minutes anl costs about US$ 1.-
There is internet connection, AC, etc
I'm not aware of a Greek Orthodox guest house in the old town. The old converted town houses cost from $100.- upwards, roughly 2-3 times the costs of our guest house. Our travel agent has offered to take care of any specific requests you might have. I encourage you to take them up on this offer.

Again, our travel agent is happy to tailor an individual itinerary for you.

Gene Bank
That's a matter of simply going there during the conference to make an appointment.
Money
There are Cash machines all over Aleppo, including CIRRUS.
Credit Cards are accepted in hotels and major restaurant.
Bring some cash anyway, just in case.
Veiling
In Syria no veil. We only suggest women visitors to avoid short sleeves and to wear trousers in case of visits to farmers when we often seat in the Arab fashion). There is no need for a scarf anywhere you go except if you want to visit a mosque (recommended).
